I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
